My Dear Roots Family, You are invited to the community premiere screening of the upcoming feature-length PBS documentary, Searching for Roots in Canton, produced by D3 Productions in association with the Friends of Roots. Please join us and the two starring travelers, Nathan Fong and Alana Woods Chan, on this exciting day, along with their mentor, Al Cheng. Follow these two Chinese Americans as they go on a soul-searching journey from San Francisco to Canton (Guangzhou), China in search of their ancestral villages. Both travelers open themselves emotionally to the viewers as they discover their family roots and a Chinese American history they never know. Saturday, April 28. 2012 at 1:00PM The documentary will be televised nationwide on various PBS stations throughout May, during the Asian Pacific Heritage Month.
